Businesses need to ensure that their clients contact information i.e. phone numbers, e mail address and physical address are kept up to date.
Set in place procedures to automatically check with your client this may be each time they place an order or use your services.
Regarding new clients ensure they provide you with at least three contact details i.e. physical address, landline and/or mobile phone and e mail address. Don’t be afraid to ask a potential client for further contact details if the information has not been fully disclosed as we know most people have at least a mobile phone number and an e mail address this may prove the different between getting paid and not.
An e mail address is an important part of the contact information being provided as we have found debtors are less likely to change their e mail address.
